Cartoon Physics

Before taking this course and reading this weeks articles, I had never heard of the term cartoon physics. That being said, I have always realized that cartoons sometimes can be unrealistic and unscientific. I believe cartoon physics is very important for one reason; cartoons would simply suck without them. The characters of the cartoons are never harmed, and the entertainment that can come from the creativity of cartoon physics is amazing. I would be curious to know if children watching these cartoons understand that these implications are not real-world. simply put, cartoons would not be in existence without cartoon physics, and that sometimes hidden aspect is very cool to me.
